Saskatchewan's own Katelyn Lehner is an award winning, Billboard charting singer- songwriter who is proving herself as a rising country talent. From the humble town of Prince Albert Saskatchewan, Lehner grew up participating in showcases and competitions around the province. From her early days, she has captivated audiences with mesmerizing stage presence and smooth but powerful vocals, winning the Prince Albert Exhibition Talent Search 4 years in a row. Lehner received vocal training from the Royal Conservatory of Music and went on to win awards for the highest provincial exam marks. Katelyn was also a dedicated Track and Field athlete, competing for Team Canada as a Heptathlete and bringing home national medals during her university career in the 60m hurdles, long jump, and sprint relays, while completing a Kinesiology degree at the University of Calgary and the University of Saskatchewan. After graduating, Katelyn released her debut single "Red" during the pandemic which became a #1 song on SiriusXM’s Canadian Country Chart for 3 consecutive weeks. Songs off her debut EP “10 Bucks,” were featured on Spotify and Amazon Music playlists while her music video for the title track gained attention for the one-of-a-kind, custom made outfit from real Canadian 10- dollar bills. Katelyn’s played over 100 shows. Highlights include Country Thunder SK & AB, Cowboys Music Festival, and the SK Roughrider Labour Day Classic Halftime Show for over 30,000 people. She has opened for Dean Brody, Blue Rodeo, Lindsay Ell, George Canyon and more. She has made appearances on CTV, and Global News, and was the official WHL Playoff anthem singer for multiple sold-out nights at SaskTel Centre for the Saskatoon Blades. Lehner was named the 2022 “Artist of the Year” by the North Sask Web Zine, the 2021 SCMA “Emerging Artist of the Year,” and was a nominee for “Country Artist of the Year” at the 2023 SaskMusic Awards. Her single "Cross the Line" reached #8 on SiriusXM’s "Top of the Country" channel. Recent singles “It was Yesterday” and “City Cowboy” can be listened to on all DSP’s.
