COCA National Conference 2024

Students have challenges in motivating their members and getting them involved. They may lack skills in delegating to others and might not feel confident in their own leadership abilities. Delegation empowers members and helps them to develop their leadership skills by taking on responsibilities and learning from doing.

This session will share keys to delegating and empowering members, building confidence in self and others, and ways to motivate by building trust and encouraging people by using their interests and passions. It will also dispel 8 Myths of Delegation such “it’s just easier and faster to do it myself.”

The tools learned in this workshop can be put into use right away and be useful for the rest of the attendees’ lives and careers.
